4 month checkup
Lots of awesome crinkly paper, 16lbs 6oz, 26.75″ tall, 66% for weight and 91% for height. And he charmed everyone like he was running for office. That’s my boy…

Does this help?
What if God was one of us?
From the back of the car: “Mommy, what’s God?”
I told him that “God” is a word we use to describe all the good things in the world, and that since no one completely understands exactly what God is, people have different ideas about it and sometimes disagree. Also, that although you can’t see God, sometimes you can feel it inside yourself. Which is an oversimplification, naturally, but he is only 4 after all.
Take a picture, it’ll last longer…

Sibling Bonding
“This is going to be one silly monster with one eye.”
Nothing to see here. Just a little after-school play-doh time. And evidence that I need to teach Ian the word “cyclops.”
Enter the tiny explorer
I put him on the mat and went away for a minute…
Over the weekend he mastered rolling over both ways and started devoting serious effort to becoming mobile… I thought I might have two weeks. Good thing I didn’t have money riding on that.
Once he finished this he decided it was naptime again. Good thing I can get a head start, because there’ll be no catching him now.
What I’ve learned at the beach this weekend
1. Every Mom should be so fortunate as to see her father and her son walk down to the shore together.
2. The Beach is better than any spa.
3. People still tan. Seriously, I thought the expiration date on that was 1989.
4. Fuzzy Baby Head is just as good at the beach.
Beachward Bound
Overheard from the back seat, in response to GPS instructions:
“NO U-TURNS!”
